I have a driveway that has very sound strong concrete that is 100ml thick. Yet it is ugly. I do not want to rip it up as it seems such a waste. I was thinking of putting pavers over the existing driveway. Is this O.K? Is drainage a problem.

If the drainage is ok now it will be just the same when you put paver on top i recommend clay 40mm paver smooth face CSR PGH have a go range, clean drive first pressure washer. glue the pavers on the edge in a soldier course and then lay the pavers in the middle just on the concrete when all laid mix neat cement with water very rune and broom over pavers sweeping in leave for a while one hour should do then wash off with pressure washer (low water ) your paver suppl yer may have a manual on this type of laying also best of luck

Try staining the concrete. You can "faux paver" it and it's cheaper and easier than laying pavers (which, by the way, should not be laid on top of a concrete pad). I think you'll find it fun and less backbreaking than pavers too.

A lot cheaper method would be to get get a quote to have it stenciled. There are many patterns and colours to choose from and the finish is extremely robust.
Hope this helps.

drainage should be a problem if you maintain the same level and do not have any drains in the driveway
