I had problems with my boiler (Myson Apollo 5Si) in that it was not working at all. I have had a new circuit board fitted but now the timer switches for the heating and hot water are not working. So I can have plenty of heat and hot water, just not timed. To switch it off I am having to switch off the main switch by the boiler itself. My engineer is coming back tomorrow. I just wanted to check whether it is the circuit board which controls the timer switches (to determine whether they should treat this as the same job). This problem had never occurred before the new circuit board was fitted. Any advice greatly received.

Yes, I have re-set the timer. I may be blonde but I have a little bit of sense...

The lights are either off on the timer or the timer can also be switched to off and the boiler is still working away.

Not being there to check the system it is hard to say but is highly likely that you received a faulty circuit board or there is a problem that was not found the last time they were there, in all fairness i would think if something else was knocking the circuit boards out from the beginning, or it is in fact a faulty replacement board..it should be on the same service ticket

Have you checked the timer selector, it sounds like it's set to '24H'?! If the system is working, then it must be something to do with the timer, perhaps the engineer re-set it to test his work?

Sounds like your electrician didn't properly ground(or bond) ALL components to your system. PC controller boards are great, but they won't live long if you don't ground the system THROUGH LY !!
