There is a product called Goof Off. It will get paint off your carpet without damaging the carpet as long as you follow the instructions. Get a cotton cloth and saturate it with Goof Off, then rub the paint stain. Do not pour Goof Off onto the carpet since it will ruin the backing of the carpet.
I just used this to clean spray paint off my carpet and it worked wonderfully. It also disintegrated my acrylic nails so you might want to wear gloves.

Yes, if the gloss paint is acrylic (i.e. water based), the best way to return the carpet to 'factory' is to shampoo it...however, if you don't have the cash to rent a shampooer, try the soap and water method...a little elbow grease can substitute well here for lack of funds.

hi, the only difficulty i could advise is to apply cellulose thinners out of your interior sight motor spares save. it may dissolve paint no concern and should no longer injury the carpet. whether it particularly is extremely inflammable, rather like petrol. So don't have a bare easy around while using it, and shop the domicile windows open to eliminate the fumes and scent. It smells like peardrop chocolates so isn't as undesirable as petrol in that experience.whether in case you spill it on paintwork that is going to eliminate the paint no rely what form it particularly is, so be carefull. i wish this enables.

If its water based paint, soap and water works. If its oil based pain, paint thinner or varsol works. Dry cleaning fluid works too on oil based paints.
