I have an oil burning water heater and I know it has an electric pump, an electric blower, and an electric igniter. I estimate it runs for about 100 hours per year. I am trying to learn how much electricity it uses while running. This will help me know the cost to run it. Thanks for any help with this.

OK so I have 2 peace lilies that have serious troubles. They were being attaked by my puppies!
I have them in a new (HIGHER) home now but they look pitiful. The puppies ate almost all of the leaves.
The peace lilies are VERY important to me (I recieved them after my granfathers passing) so I really want to save them.
I just repotted/seperated them about a week ago and they were in the bathroom getting soaked and Hubby put them in the floor and the dogs attaked them.

My main question, I guess, is do I remove the chewed up leaves with scissors and just let it try to survive or what do I need to do?

Any help will be appreciated!

I just bought my first house and the woman who lived here previously had a beautiful yard (so the neighbors tell me) but she got cancer and let it all go.
The beds are full of grass, weeds, and flowers. The bulbs are showing above the dirt some. I tried to pull a bunch of the grass out but it seems like I'll never get it all cleaned out?
If I put mulch down, will that kill the grass without killing the bulbs? The bulbs are already sprouting which seems odd as I am in Wisconsin and there is still snow on the ground!

when i use the lights or anything else the voltage drops and the excess goes to the other leg. ex, if i get 86v on the circuit being used, the other gets 154v. if i add anything else , it hardly works at all. now if i put a load on the opposite leg it balaces off. ex if i run my drill on the receptacle circuit, the lights get brighter

My husband and I just bought our first home and I'm very excited about planting my own flower beds and vegetable garden. I don't want to do anything extravagent, just basic beginner stuff until i learn more. Unfortunately I'm starting from ground zero with little to no knowledge on gardening and am in desperate need of some good resources.

I was wondering when should you start feeding and fertilizing your roses? I know you should stop feeding them around the first freeze. But when do you start again? I live in Denver, if that helps, Thanks!
