Help with stone wall?

An old stone wall on the side of my house has slowly started to fall apart. Do I need to take down the whole thing or just repair the fallen part?

just repair the falling down part and fix the broken mortar (called repointing) in the rest of the wall, so it doesnt fall.

Just need a diamond shaped hand trowel, a wheelbarrow, a bag of mortar....add water and mix it around until it's like oatmeal, and fix away.
