In the northeast, if you plant in the fall you will have tulips in April. The Lilly's will probably bloom too late. It will be best to check with a qualified garden center to make sure that the tulip bulbs you select will be early bloomers. Some tulips bloom early spring, mid spring, or late spring. Some bulbs will bloom every year and some tulip bulbs will only bloom for the next season. Sometimes on the package you purchase, the tulip will state it blooms early spring. Your wedding is important make sure you get the sure thing. Congratulations on your Wedding.

To be sure, you would have to plant quite a few flowers and scatter the times you plant so they will not bloom at the wrong time. Your flowers would be subject to all sorts of weather and bugs and imperfections. Florist quality blooms are rarely seen in an outdoor garden. With a greenhouse, well maybe you have a chance, but, consider ing the fact that you had to ask the most basic of questions about your flowers, I'd advise you not to depend solely on the flowers you grow for your wedding. Maybe you could use some extra flowers besides what a florist can offer. Use the ones you grow as a beautiful addition to the formal bouquets you get from a professional florist.

You plant spring blooming bulbs such as tulips in the fall. You can purchase live tulips this year and dry them out. By fall, you will be able to plant them. Depending on your area, they may or may not be in bloom when you want them.

You'll have to buy them. Tulip bulbs have to be planted in the fall to grow in the spring. The same goes for Lillies. Most lillies don't bloom until late spring to early summer.

Oh goodness, you are a year too late. Planting is done around memorial day. But someone could give you a gift of blubs and seeds that would bloom for your first anniversary.

April is kind of early for Tulips, and much too early for lilies. Of course, I suppose it depends on where you live. Have you ever seen tulips or lilies growing that early where you live?

My neighbor in South Dakota had tulips, and I was always surprised to see them flower so early. I think it was in April.
