I only brought this jacket for a month and the first time I wash it yesterday...there was a colour bleed. The zipper of the jacket had a brown fabric kinda thing attached to it and that thing made my white jacket have brown patches...What can I do?..is there a way to remove the brown patches from the color bleed?

take it to a dry cleaners and see if they can help. otherwise you may have to dye it a different color if you can't return it to the store. you might want to write the company that made it and complain

Well if you had washed in salt first you would not of had the color bleed from the lining on to the exterior of the coat, you could try using White Vinegar and a little water on a sponge or cloth first and try removing those color spots, if they come out of the fabric then you can wash this coat in cool water and 3/4 cup of White Vinegar. Good Luck !

There is a color bleed towelette that gets thrown in the wash cycle and absorbs bleeding dyes. Its new and looks like dryer towels. It prevents the rest of the load from being stained . If you put the jacket in the dryer, the stains may have been set by the heat. In any case I'd still give it a try.

You can soak it in hot water with a little bit of bleach and a little laundry detergent, mix it well before adding your white coat into it. 1/4 cup bleach to every 1 gallon water. Put your coat in and soak over night or until the coat has turned all white again. I do this to get all stains out of my white clothes or socks. You do not want to use bleach everytime you wash your whites as it can turn them yellow. Use a laundry detergent that has bleach in it.It works great. Thats all I use.
GOOD LUCK !!!

Try and soak it in a product called "Fade Away". This product is for white clothes only.
