when does mushroom season start in illinois?

I live in Illinois and have gone hunting for them before. In southern Illinois it usually starts in mid-April to early May. Usually it's just after it's been warm and moist in the Spring for a while. I often miss it though because it can be hard to predict. Good Luck!!

Usually after a couple warm sunny days(65-70 degrees)following a wet period.

I'm guessing anytime from now till May. Depends on if you get an extended period of warm days and cool nights
