I have just moved into a rented house and the main bedroom walls are painted a dark browny almost tan colour. I don't really want to repaint the room as it isn't my house, but was thinking of changing the colour of my bedding and decor. What colours do you think will match with that colour walls. (I cant have white becoz of my two dogs).

Thanks guys

Red and cream totally cream curtains to brighten the room and red bedding maybe with a slight cream pattern and big cream cushions that you can put away when the dogs come in.A great big picture make sure it has a pale background with red and cream(maybe a abstract you could paint yourself)also add a tiny bit of the wall colour in it.

Hit the mall and look at clothing. There are many fabrics and patterns with browns and another color. Whatever you like is what you pick. That's an easy start. Use area rugs to accent the colors. Don't forget window coverings. Go for textured fabrics if your budget allows; that can make things interesting, too.

Look online at hgtv.com or diy.net There are many many links and photos with examples. Check out websites for popular decor magazines and paint manufacturers. Benjamin moore.com is one site that lets you test colors online.

Good luck and have fun.

Think outside nature, what goes with brown outside.

Green, yellow, gold, orangy-fall-colored leaves color, certain shades of red, like crimson, burgundy.

Good luck.

I love the chocolate brown and teal blue combo! Its chic and modern. It works with so many different styles too.
