My son came very close to setting mine on fire the other day and I read online to sit a cup of vinegar in it and turn it on until it boils....let it sit in there do not open until there is a little steam....get a rag and go to work using the vinegar!
Good Luck! :)

Ohhhhh... That sucks. Well... You're going to need an abrassive sponge and some serious cleaner, I preffer 409 Kitchen Cleaner or Mr. Clean Kitchen Clear. It's decently heavy duty without being dangerous and can do some serious damage to stains. I can tell you this much, you're going to be scrubbing for a long time getting that stuff off. My Grandpa replaced a microwave after a fast food container melted all over the inside of it. Good luck!

There are two methods. One is to put a bowl of ammonia in the microwave and cook for two minutes. Be careful not to burn yourself. The fumes will loosen the gunk. The other is the same method with sliced lemons. Good luck to you.
