try putting a little vinegar in the wash with it, that usually helps remove odors.

wash the comforter again, but this time put 2 cup of white vinegar in the rinse water, that will remove the odor. When it is dried there will be no more odor and no vinegar odor either. Make sure it is dried good, If it is not then down the line you will get a musty odor, from dampness.

Iam not sure what kind of odor it is or the type of comforter you have but try and wash it in the hottest setting it can stand in tide with febreeze(they have tide with febreeze in it)dry it in the dryer and then if you have a cloths line and live in sunny California like me hang it out in the sun after you have dried it in the dryer.(you may want to run it thru the wash 2 times)before drying. If this doesn't help nothing will and it probably wont come out.

wash again with baking soda or with tide with frebreeze or both to double the power. Check for the odor after washing it and if it's still there, you can try a second rinse with 1/4 cup of white vinegar. Also, is your comforter down or fiber fill? if it's down, it could be a cheap feather fill that's causing the odor. Good luck!

Vinegar? What! We are not making a Salad. All you need is to wash it again, at ANOTHER laundromat. And spray it with your favorite Perfume right after you wash it. A two step procedure. Its Easy!!! :-)

Vinegar, Ammonia, or Baking Soda in the wash with TIDE detergent should do the trick.....IF you are taking it to the laundromat SMELL the washer before you put the comforter in it....You never know what was in there! (Or what some idiot put in it before you used it)
That should help :)

Ew. Do you have any animals? I'd say get a new comforter if the smell doesn't go away.
