Here a cheap organic way, a method that won't poison your kids or pets

Need
20 hose end sprayer
a bag of composted cow manure
a container of epsom salts
a 5 gal plastic bucket
an empty 3LB coffee can
a leg of panty hose

Take a 3lb coffee can add 3 cans full of cow manure into a panty hose leg. Tie of the top of the leg and place contents in 5 gal bucket and fill with water
Allow to 'marinate" a week

Add "T" to a 20 gal hose end sparyer jar and 1/4 cup of epsom salts, spray about 200 sq ft

At the end of the summer you will be mowing 2x a week

You will have a green PLUS a safe lawn for your kids and pets

anything over 200 sq feet is going to be tough on the ole back and blisters without some power assisted equipment like a Bobcat loader and plenty of time to do it right.

But the payoff of a pretty healthy lawn is well worth it plus increases property value..
