My husband is the same, unfortunately, I will have the place spotless and he will come home and throw his clothes on the floor, spill stuff everywhere, the next day I have to start all over again! There isnt really all that much for you to do about it I am afraid, some people are neat, others are messy, and you cant change that.

This might make him mad but take his video game away from him and hide it until he cleans something. Those video games can become very addictive to the point where you don't care about anything. Does he work or go out at all? I know you think that wearing dirty clothes is GROSS but stop doing his laundry and trust me eventually he'll do it. I mean after wearing the same clothes over and over again he'll think it's gross too. The next time he wants to eat serve it to him on a dirty dish, that will make do the dishes. In other words, GO ON STRIKE!

Opposites attract. It's completely normal you are attracted to this guy, but, this could be the breakup. He has a different agenda than yours and no amount of urging, begging, or demonstrating will change that. Believe me, I'm a cleanie and I married a messy. After 16 years, there's little to no improvement. Either accept circumstances the way they are, or find a new boyfriend. On that note, acceptance in this area can lead to others and if you value the relationship, this could be a turning point. But, like losing weight and keeping it off, it's a daily decision you have to make.

The sad part is, you can not always change a person. My first wife did not clean at all and I did all the house work, plus held down 2 jobs. I ended up finally leaving her. You could set him down and tell him how you honestly feel about his not helping with out criticizing him about it. Set up a schedule on cleaning to do and have him take on different chores each time and tell him that after the work is done, he can play his video games. Tell him that it is not fair that you are doing all the work, if he cares for you he should start helping out

You have a psychiatric diagnosis and you have driven him nuts. I lived with you for 18 yrs. My mother. I like clean too. Don't do his laundry just spray it with Febreze. Washing dishes by hand is not sanitary, get a dishwasher. One of you needs to move. You are totally incompatible.

Lose the zero and get with a hero!
That is gross. Try bribing him with sex. That would work for me.

LEAVE IT! SERIOUSLY. IF YOU DON'T WASH THE DISHES EVENTUALLY HE'LL HAVE TO. IF YOU DON'T WASH HIS CLOTHES EVENTUALLY HE'LL HAVE TO AND IF YOU DON'T COOK HE'LL HAVE TO OR STARVE! IF THAT FAILS YOU COULD ALWAYS APPEAL TO HIS INNER CHILD AND BRIBE HIM. OR HIDE THE FUSE FOR THE COMPUTER. IF THAT FAILS YOU MAY AV TO CALL IT QUITS AND PUT UP WIV IT OR LEAVE HIM!
