I own a janitorial business in the central valley of CA, and the pricing in our area is on average of $30 per hour. Depending on the task that you do. If you have other questions you can email me and I will help you out. There are also several books available that can help you set up your own business. Go to Amazon.com and search for cleaning business in the books and they have thousands to choose from. Good luck

My mommy does that for a living. I'd get the local paper see who cleans homes call them and ask what they charge then you could charge a little less. Of course, in any buisness, someone always comes and underbids, but if you clean the house and the person is out make a batch of cookies and have them waiting when the person comes home and you will always have a customer. Ohhh, maybe I shouldn't have said all that.

Here on the east coast, prices vary according to what is being done, the time it takes to get there, do it, and move on to the next one. If you have several houses in close proximity that you can do on the same day, your prices will be slightly lower. Generally speaking, $30/hr 1st hr, and $15 thereafter. But, you're in high-rent district so that may not be profitable.

Well, decide on what you'd like to get per hour and then multiply it by the number of hours you'd spend cleaning. Also, look online to see some costs in your area. Many house cleaning businesses will post their rates online.

I would suggesst calling to local ones in your phone book. Pretend you are an interested customer and go from there.
