I had a little stainless steel bar sink in my house that was
really icky, until one day I happened to notice on the
Scott's Liquid Gold that it could be used to clean SS.
Who woulda thunk? But by golly it worked -and it worked
VERY well. Try it! Good luck.

You can use windex with a white scratchy pad or 0000 steel wool. Mist the area and rub lightly until the rust is gone. Then use a good polish to shine it back up, Sheila Shine is really good. The best way to disinfect the next time is take a lemon and cut it in half and wipe down the stainless steel. be sure to dry and might have to repolish each time.

Try using white vinegar.Let the vinegar sit on top of it for a little while and then wipe (about 5 minutes) Keep doing this until all rust is gone, then just give it a final cleaning.
