Well I clean my shower once a week. My shower doesnt have any tile or anything like that so i dont deal with mold. I use comet and a good scrubber for the soap scum and come out shiny and clean every time. Well its ok if you clean your shower everytime you use it if it is comfortable for you. Your friend probably has that build up over a long period of time because that cant happen if you dont clean your shower once or twice. Its true that showering in a place where there is black mildew and mold is kinda uncomfortable for me to shower in. To answer your question...it is ok to clean your shower everytime you use it if you are comfortable. It is also ok to skip a few days too but seeing that your friend has alot of build up maybe she should try to get that off with mildew cleaner or something to keep it from getting worse because then that stuff makes your shower smelly.

It depends on how many people use it. If I lived alone I would use a self-cleaning shower spray after every shower, then hand scrub it once or twice a week. If other people were using it too, then I would have each person clean it by hand after every shower. Yes fungus or just about anything can grow very easily in shower.

I think once a week is enough unless your house has a moisture problem or you actually SEE the build up or other visible dirt, then do it more often. Do you have OCD or something? Even if wanted to, I don't have that kind of time. If I did, I'd do something else with that time. BTW, I have one of those automatic shower cleans and it works GREAT!

I think you should clean out your shower once every 3 or 4 days. It all depends on who you live with though. I live with a really disgusting roommate so i clean my shower out everyday (even though he doesn't shower everyday) but if i lived on my own i would clean it out every 3 days. It sounds like the friend that cleans it out after every shower has obsessive compulsive disorder. That's too much.

We do the no-scrub shower spray every day... we have hard water and 2 of us use it per day. The last one in gives the spray a go and it's good and clean.
The kids do the same in the other showers too.
Many people clean their showers only once a week. Whatever is good for you.
How often do you clean the bathroom floor? eeeeewwwww!
LOL.... :)

My goodness! If I had to clean it every time I used it I would not use it! That is way too much work....you do not have to clean it every time! It should be in your WEEKLY, not daily cleaning duties Like Saturdays are my big clean up day and Saturday is when it gets done....RELAX some and BTW she is right!
If it makes you feel better get some of that cleaner that is designed for a quick after shower spray and then do a big clean up weekly.

ideally,it should be washed everytime it's used BUT fungus will not grow if u leave the bathtub unwashed for a frew days(2-3 max).your both somewhat right, its just a matter of lifestyle choice i guess.

Oh... I thought your friend might have gone weeks between cleaning it.
A few days? I clean mine once a week, I'm going to have to go with your friend on this one.
Do you clean your toilet every time you use it too?
The biggest problem will be mold, but this is a sign of poor ventilation not inadequate cleaning.

The same people who make scrubbing bubbles cleaner have a robotic shower cleaner. Buy one if you hate cleaning your shower.
