They are all different but in a typical day. Run conduit and wiring, install cable trays. Troubleshoot a problem, change some lights, wire up a panel, replace fuses, reset circuit breakers.
It depends if you are a residential or industrial electrician or if you are a construction electrician. You could be a lineman, or an inside wireman. There's a lot of specialties in the business, but you have to have a good idea of it all.

There is no "typical" day. What you might do would depend on your status: apprentice, journeyman, licensed master, foreman, etc.
The trade encompasses a huge knowledge base. Residential, Commercial, Neuclear, Marine, Industrial - each has its special requirmemnts and codes.
I've retired from primarily electrical work after 45 years, and am still learning!

Depends if he fell of the ladder while tacking the light box to the ceiling joist... oh dear...
I guess if he zaps himself, he could shorten his day a bit too...
