We have one bathroom and need to redo the floor tile in there this weekend but I am told that you have to wait 24 hours after setting the tile in place before you are supposed to walk on it. We are looking at going to a hotel for the night if we can't find something that will set solidly in just a few hours.

I use a product called Ultraflex2RS when I need to do a tile job in one day. It is a rapid setting mortar and can be grouted over in 2 or 3 hours. It's still a good idea to be careful when walking on the new floor for 12-24 hours after installation. This mortar is available at Lowe's or a similar store.

Fakest is correct. They make fast setting thinsets that dry in a few hours, then you can grout. Like he said, be careful though.
