I had found a site that gave a list of all foods and their calories by simple search. It had nothing to do with any kind of diet plan you could join, etc. I simply can't remember what site, and have tried to find it by search, but haven't had any success. Does anyone know of such a site?

My son doesn't know how many kilos he should start off with for weight lifting. He is 17 and has just started. He wants to build up his mass. Also, he doesn't know how many sit ups he should do at once and how long to wait between each time he does his sit up exercises in order to build abdominal mass. If anyone knows about these exercises, please let me know, it would be much appreciated, thanks

Ok I went to the local store at chekced out the L- Glutamine powder. The guy there looked at me as if I was reatarded and said " Its in whey powder" he replies. Well no kidding. I seen the price it read 60$ for a small small jug. So I decided to leave and get 2 bottles of L -Glutamine in capsule form for about 10$ at the pharmacy next door. Now, it says take 1 capsule daily. Is this a scam? I just took 2 with a protein shake. I know the stomach hijacks most of L glutamine? ANy lifters out there who can let me know. Thanks a bunch. And dont forget. "Its in whey protein" lol thanks guys.

Is there a website that you can go on and type in your weight and height and maybe even you measurements and it can show you what you look like. To often we dont see ourselfs as we really are. Some people think their to fat and some think their skinner than they really are. So i wanted to see if there was a website that can show us how our bodies really look.

If so why? I feel a lot healthier since I started incorporating more organic food into my diet I'm eating about 70-80% organic due to the overprocessing and lots of questionable ingredients in our fda approved food....

i am supposed to gain weight, but i can't seem to do this. i am eating more than usual, but i can't seem to gain anything. i eat constantly, can anyone recommend me any tips on how to do this, thank you

Hi Everybody,
I've been working out a couple of years now and have pretty much overcome an eating disorder (I still have some tough days but nowhere near what I had). I'm 34, haven't had any children yet. Weigh between 120-125 and am 5'6". I used to force myself to stay at 115 or under so I'm pretty good. OK, to my workout. I just don't feel like I'm getting the results in terms of muscle definition I'd like to see. Here's what my week looks like:
90 minutes of very athletic yoga about 3-4 times a week
60 minutes kickboxing 3 times a week with resistance
Sometimes I add 2 long hikes with my dog as well. So how can I improve on this. I eat cleanly, etc. I don't weigh myself anymore as I'll get fixated. Is this a good workout? Or could I improve it? Thanks!

ok, I'll put it out there. I am overweight. I'm 5'4 and weight 225 lbs. So ok I'm fat. yeah I know . It's hard to lose weight when you got two little kids and no time. ( i know excuses, excuses ) but here's what annoys me. According to my BMI Im considered obese. Ok, how in the heck am I obese. ?? I sure as heck don't look it and I sure don't feel it. I think they really need to revise how the BMI chart works because when I was a healthy weight of 180 , I say healthy because I was. I wore a size 16 and just because of my height I was still borderline obese. Which was crap . Anyone else sick of that thing?

Yahoo just put out an article that says "obesity now affects about one-third of Americans." My question: where are all of these obese people?

I don't doubt that the general population is heavier than it was in the past, but obesity is a BMI of 30 or greater, which is pretty fat. Maybe I live in a low-obesity area, but not even 1 out of every 10 people i see could be possibly considered "obese". I have a couple of small questions to ask:

Anyone have any sites that show where the surveys that support the "1 out of 3" ratio take place?

Since i live in a community that is under the 1 out of 3 ratio, there must be some community that is above the ratio to even it out...anyone live in an area where just about half the people are obese?

Or...who else believes the "obesity epidemic" is 20 pounds of bull **** in a 10 pound bag?

It normally happens after a meal. All my fingertips. During worse times, they actually feel like they're going to literally blow up. I've heard too much salt intake in my meals can cause this, but am not sure. I have a family history of diabetes and high blood pressure.

I know everyone says it's unhealthy...but I have high blood pressure and I'm borderline diabetic. My doctor told me to lose as much weight as I could as fast as I could, or I'd have to get surgery!! I don't wanna get weightloss surgery like my mother!! People would tell me I'm taking the easy way out...and I wouldnt be able to bare it!!
