I've misplaced my son's precription and he has an appointment Wednesday for crowns. Is there something over the counter I can give him instead?

I got my wisdom teeth removed at 8am today and it is now 9pm and I have NOT had ANY facial swelling? Does it sometimes take an extra day or two for the swelling to start? Is it possible that my face wont end up swelling, or will I wake up with a huge face tomorrow? Has anyone been in this situation before?

I got my wisdom teeth taken out today at about 8am and its now 9pm. I have not had ANY swelling of my face yet. When people get their wisdom teeth removed, when does the swelling usually begin? Does it ever take a day to two to show up? or am I in the clear? Thanks!

I was thinking of getting a Sonicare toothbrush (or the Sonic version by Oral-B) or Oral B's top of the line rotating electric toothbrush.

Does the sonic version work better/worse at cleaning? Is one better for sensitive teeth or receding gums, etc?

Thanks.

I have 2 artificial front teeth that I would like to whiten. Do artificial teeth whiten in the same levels normal tooth enamel does? I would guess I'd have to have the dentist do it.. but just curious if anyone else has done this.

I smoke weed about once a week. maybe twice. not from a pipe but from a bong.

does weed stain your teeth? ive noticed that recently. but it could be from drinking tea too.

also, is it bad for your gums? i obviously know cigs is bad for your teeth but is weed?

FINALLY, I HEARD GENTLY BRUSHING OR "MASSAGING" THE GUMS IS GOOD FOR THEM. HOW OFTEN SHOULD THIS BE DONE? OBVIOUSLY THEY ARE MUCH MORE SENSITIVE THAN TEETH SO I WOULD ASSUME NOT AS MUCH AS BRUSHING TEETH.

PERHAPS TWICE A WEEK? MORE? LESS?

THANKS!!!

My left side is swollen, but doesn't hurt. My right side though, is twice as big as the left, AND it hurts like hell. They gave me a painkiller with codon (condine?) in it which makes me really out of it, but it makes me sick to my stomach. The combonation of both brings me to my knees in pain. I've been icing since I got it done and the swelling hasn't gotten better. I went to school today and everyone told me to go home, I eventually did from the pain. Should I go to school tomorrow? Any other ideas or tips?

i have always gone to the dentist, had braces(4extractions(, twice a year cleanings, the works. about a decade ago had root canals done which later caused blood infection and wound up having four extractions. then about 5 years ago got tmj from car accident and lost two more teeth. basically now i dont have any back teeth. my top and bottom fronts are fine visibly but are starting to wear down. also student chipped front tooth, nursery not on purpose. ive gotten partial dentures but they are very uncomfortable and heavy metal and make my tmj worse than ever. im at point where am considering full dentures. i would consider full mouth implants but was told nerves too low to gum line(need to go for second opinion) but im not sure i can invest any more money or pain on my mouth. im in my 30's.full mouth implants anywhere from 17.000 to 25.000 after way about 50thousand of a lifetime of dental work. i dont know what to do. i cant afford it, and its affecting me in a very awful way.

You're supposed to use four whitestrips every day, two upper and two lower. I wanted to finish my box of Crest Whitestrips Premium Plus before Valentine's Day but that's not going to happen unless I use a total of eight whitestrips a day, four upper and four lower. Would using more than two strips a day have any effect on the speed that my teeth whiten? Would that be bad for my teeth?

I just had all four wisdom teeth extracted a week ago and the stitches removed 2 days ago. My OS told me the upper right was very close to my sinuses, so try not to blow my nose for a while after the surgery. Now I found when i rinse, water seems to enter the extraction site and enter the sinuses. Is this normal right after the procedure and will it heal on its own?
