Ok so I had an emergency root canal done while I was on vacation away from my regular dentist. My question is this...it's about 5months since I had it done and I never got around to getting a crown put on it...for the most part because I had a temp filling.......

1. What will happen now, since it's been almost 5months since my root canal was done and no crown?

2. Will my regular insurance doctor be able to put a crown in for me?

I was wondering if anyone here has had a wisdom tooth pulled who was over 40 years old at the time. Were there any complications? How bad was it?

My toothbrushes usually last 2-3 weeks before all the bristles get frayed. Shouldn't they last longer?

Okay, my ortho told me that if my spacer comes out to take a piece of floss and floss the one that came out. If it goes thru without getting stuck or hard to get in, to not come back to have another one put in, but if it does get stuck or is hard to floss to go back and get a new one put in. But say that one did come out, and you're only wearing it for 6 days, and it comes out like on the 2nd or 3rd day and you floss and it doesnt get stuck or anything, and u dont go back to get a new one, wont the tooth move back to its original place by the time u go back to the ortho? i was just wodering. mine didnt come out tho.

I think I have a wisdom tooth coming through, and the pain is getting worse by the hour... Have taken some nurofen but this seems to wear off in about 4 hours, and your only supposed to take 6 in 24 hours. Any suggestions on how to calm the pain!?!

The stupid tooth that I can't seem to be over and done with. Here's what I want to know, if an infection reoccures in a root canal, can antibiotics rid of the problem if it hasn't gotten too bad? I am in the process of finding out what is going on with my mouth...problem is that I have 2 root canals side by side and can't figure out which tooth is causing the problem or what it is. They both look fine in the xrays. One was done 10 years ago and one was done 3 months ago. Both are tap sensitive. This situation has been so stressful on me. I go back tomorrow to have one shaved down a little because it sits just a tad bit too high. I will of course need a shot because my tooth is sensitive. So....here I am...worried sick and tired of this issue. I went in Oct to have my root canal done and it was so hard for me to do as I am phobic. I finally do it and here I am still dealing with it....still concerned. Any dentists out there that can help? Or RDA'S?

I'm very interested to try Invisalign instead of braces. Does anyone know the cost, as opposed to regular braces?
Also, do you have them on for a shorter period of time?
Anyone with personal experience?

I smoked for six years (quit on New Year's), drink two cups of coffee a day, and can't put down a Dr. Pepper. I know I shouldn't do these things and plan to cut back and quit soon. When I do I want to get my teeth whitened. Should I go with the whitening products in stores like Whitestrips or should I go get them professionally whitened (and how much does that cost)?

I am at a situation where I must get a root canal very soon since my tooth has an infection and the nerve must be removed.

I just got a crown on this tooth from my dentist who was kind enough NOT to warn me that an infection was possible.

This work used up all my allowance with my current dental insurance, so now I have to pay for any work done myself. It is very expensive and I am looking into the cheapest possible way. The dentist who did this, or my current insurance will not assist me.

Do you know any places I can go that would be cheaper? Or do you know if I can purchase a dental insurance that will help me cover the costs? Thank you

I grind my teeth badly in my sleep. I know it's not stress which is the usual excuse. Any ideas on a cure because I'll have no teeth left before long!

My teeth are gross, I have lost mainly all of them, upper and lower. I can't afford to get them fixed or dentures. I will not smile, will not eat in front of others. I hate that I can't smile or eat.

My 14 year old is getting braces, we just got back from the consultation and I was told total bill is going to be over $6000.00
I am going to pay $124 a month for 24 months after putting $855 down. I told my son that that was a small car payment as far as I was concerned and he better be able to hop on them and ride 'em to school....

Is this a normal amount for just regular 'ole braces? What are they where you live? We are in Illinois

I have been taking vicodin and amoxil for this tooth just prior to this root canal. The dentist gave me several shots in my gums just about an hour ago and now I am numb and feel really nauseated and headachy..I wonder if the pain will worsen after the numbness goes away and why i feel sick! vicodin 5.
