What can a dental hygienist do other than clinical work? I have my bachelors of science. I don't see myself doing clinical work for very long. I am not located in a big metropolitan area either. Do other RDH's find that they do not enjoy clinical hygiene?

Hey I was just wondering how long it takes to get ALL my teeth extracted and a mold taken, then getting dentures made to fit my mouth... Also, maybe a rough estimate of how much it would cost without insurance? I'm 24, and it's a pretty sobering thought to think that I'm going to have to have dentures this young.... I guess that's one thing that will always haunt me about my drug using experience, right?

Anyway, thanks alot for any answers.

I'm 14 years old & I've already gotten my twelve year molars [at like13 1/2 lol] but I think a tooth is comming in behind my last bottom tooth on one side! There's like a big bump in my gum back there [like it is when you get molars] & its sore. Could it be a wisdom tooth ? I thought I was kinda young to get those ;; I haven't even lost all my baby teeth yet [haha seriously .. weird I kno.] & will I have to get it pulled ?? =\

Will Cephalexin work? I don't want to take it if it isn't going to work, it will work for something later I am sure. Man if it will work I need to know. Please tell me.

I feel cloudy-minded and dizzy a lot since I've had mine. Is there something to this idea of bacteria colonizing in the dead teeth that causes systemic illnesses- brain, heart, lungs, circulation, etc.? If you have had problems with root canals, please tell me! Any advice???

Hi,

I'm a dental assistant in the UK and the company I work for uses Henry Schein for most of the dental supplies.

However, I'm not aware of this company able to supply Kimberly-Clark SAFEVIEW protective eyewear.

Does anyone know of a UK based company who can provide Kimberly-Clark SAFEVIEW protective eyewear?

If not, which company do you use for dental supplies, who might be able to supply similar protective eyewear?

Thank you.

I had 2 top teeth pulled about 10 yrs. ago and got extremely painful dry socket, so much so that i still remember how bad it was, but i had a bottom tooth pulled last year and didn't get dry socket at all. I'm probably going to have to have another tooth pulled next week and it's on the top, so now i'm worried about getting dry socket. i know how to prevent it, i just wondered if it's more likely to happen to the top or bottom teeth or if that has nothing to do with it. Thanks... : )

cheers,
Shauna!

I am going to my dentist for a toothache i've had for about 10 days & it's just keeps getting worse and bleeds whenever I chew or eat!

I've just got the braces i've had on my teeth off about 2 weeks ago & ever since I've had a toothache & I get food in between the tooth that hurts.

It looks like my gums are swollen around the tooth.

The pain is getting worse.

Do you think my dentist is going to write me a prescription for pain medication?

I've tried all over the counter pain relievers but nothing helps.

Thanks
