Hey I was just wondering how long it takes to get ALL my teeth extracted and a mold taken, then getting dentures made to fit my mouth... Also, maybe a rough estimate of how much it would cost without insurance? I'm 24, and it's a pretty sobering thought to think that I'm going to have to have dentures this young.... I guess that's one thing that will always haunt me about my drug using experience, right?

Anyway, thanks alot for any answers.

I started the process 3 weeks ago. They do 3 sets of impressions. It takes anywhere from a week and1/2 to 2weeks between appointments. Then you have to wait for the teeth, another 2weeks.Then the Big day comes and you have your teeth pulled and then have the dentures put in the same day. I am on week 4 and I still have to have my last set of impressions done. So I am looking at 7 to 8weeks from start to Finnish.

There are "dental centers" all over that do nothing but extractions and fit dentures in 1 day. The one near my city is called "Castle" dental center's. They advertise denture sets from $ 350. to over $ 1000. If you live near a University. that has a "dental school"you can usually get very good care and very low costs, the student doctors perform the work, with the teaching Prof's supervise.Take care. I start the proccess tommorrow, and for the same reason. my dentist is doing it in 2 visits, and a follow up. 8 teeth tommorrow, ouch, lol. top plate cost me 300, and 60 a tooth, cheap from what i have been told. It's going to take me like 2 weeks i think. be nice to smile again.:D
