This may sound gross, but it works. Take some peanut butter, slather it on the gum and let it sit for a few minutes. The oils in the peanut butter seem to break up the gum and makes it really easy for you to scrape it off. This also works if someone ever has gum stuck in their hair.

Put the retainer in the freezer for an hour or so, then the gum will become solid and should come off easily.

Well first of all....Why did you chew gum while having the retainer on? you are not supposed to be chewing gum while you have that on. And Second of all......You can just keep washing the thing and maybe it will come off. If not then i don't know what to tell ya.

I would say spray the top of the retainer with a hose...the pressure may get it off. If not, you should probably call your ortho even though it may be embarassing. Good luck!

Did you listen to what your orthodontist was telling you about your retainer? It might be impossible to get it all off. You may need a new retainer which could be pretty pricey. Talk to your orthodontist.
