Yes, use toothpaste. You may find you need slightly less owing to the superior cleaning action of the electric brush, and the foaming action it produces. (Incidentally, the foam bit is uneccessary, and is put in by the manufacturers to make us feel that we are doing a good cleaning job). Most whitening toothpastes don't do such a great job, imo. I'd stick with a tried and tested brand like Colgate Total which does a good job of cleaning AND protecting.

The power toothbrush I have has a charger and it does 300 revolutions per minute. It would take me 10 minutes to brush that well by a manual one. Check out the comparison online--type in toothbrush comparison electric manual. I got a study that recommends oscillating electric is better than manual in fighting gingivitis and plaque.

Toothpaste is necessary - electric toothbrush will remove only dirt and rest of food from your teeth while toothpaste is removing germs and bacterias as well as protects your teeth and gums.
So it is necessary to good protection

Ew! Of course you should use toothpaste. If your teeth still seem dirty after brushing see a dentist for a good professional cleaning.

Yes, you should. This model of toothbrush has a polishing cup - similar to the rubber cups that your dentist would use to apply tooth polish to your teeth - that's the only thing that makes this a 'whitening' model.

Yes, use toothpaste. Just get a brand name basic paste. The others are snake oil, meaning they really don't do half of what they claim to do.
