My gums in the back of the left side of my mouth hurt, and when I felt my gum with my tongue, it felt like a popcorn kernel or something was sticking out of my gum. I can also pull my gum a little bit away from my teeth in this section of my mouth.

I am seeing a specialist who recommends doing deep cleaning under my gums and building my bone mass back up. This procedure is going to cost me $3,000. Is it worth spending $3,000 for this procedure or am I just trying to hold off the inevitable?

This question may sound stupid and strange. But I'm just curious. You know them braces suppose to move the teeth but it's so tighten and so painful sometimes, In the future are they going to make your teeth weaker than your real teeth? For example, when you become old, is it more possibility that you can lose your teeth quicker than people who didn't had braces?

Hi, if you're a dental assistant, do you prefer to: wear a mask and safety glasses, just a visor (plastic face shield) or a visor and a mask? Is there any combination which is more advised to use?

Thank you.

My NHS dentist told me he can't do my root canal himself as it has been done before and not done very well. He says it can't be done on NHS, the only thing he can do is to extract my tooth and now he is reffering me to a specialist, private and it'll cost £500.
Does that sound right? Is it true what he says, that it can't be done on NHS?

Do you think it would be better for me to take out insurance and change my dentist to a private one? I feel sometimes he can't be bothered with me, like he knew long ago I'd have this problem but never adviced me to take out insurance, surely that would save me quite a lot of money?

help! I don't have a clue about dentists. :-(

i just had 3 teeth bonded a couple days ago to fix chips etc., and two are nice and smooth looking but the one already looks a tiny bit chipped and not as smooth as the others.
should i call and have them fix it? it's not that noticable just looking at it but i'm worried it could end up hurting in the long run.
also, would they charge me again to get it resurfaced even though they didn't do it right the first time?
anyone with experience with bonding or a dentist's perspective would be very helpful!
