Thrush is not red dots, it is white spots resembling cottage cheese. Thrush is a fungal infection of the mouth. Red spots can be a number of things, so I would suggest you discuss your treatment again with your dentist. One example of red spots on the roof of the mouth is called petechiae. Petechiae are caused from bruising of the palate. I won't go into how someone can bruise their palate, you will have to use your imagination.
You should discuss your concerns with your dentist...

sometimes these are caused by denture wearing at upper jaw,viral fever also may cause,sometimes minute bleeding spots can originate from perpura.dont get nervous,it might be hereditary that your dentist apprises you

Yeah, didn't your dentist tell you? If not, you should get it re-checked cos it could be gum disease. Otherwise, it might be a mouth ulcer

it sounds like you have oral thrush, you should be able to get a prescription from your dentist
