My two lower wisdom teeth were impacted, so I had them removed on tuesday. Todays sunday and I am still in a small amount of pain. Also I developed two canker sores which are 50% of my pain, but the interesting thing is my cheeks are semi-swollen and I have been unable to close my mouth since tuesday.
What should I do? I heard that warm most towels will help the swelling is this true?

I know all the reasons not to pull my own tooth (infection, pain make matters worse etc) This molar has bothered me for years. Half of the tooth is broken (missing), there is an exposed huge silver filling and what is left of the tooth is grey. I saw the dentist but before she will do any work she wants to do a deep cleaning which will be $1600. I can't even feed my kids so I can't afford that. I will spend money on my kids teeth before my own. So my mind is made up. I need advise on how to get this tooth out. I've tried using a string and pliers. I CANNOT go to the dentist again. I have been to the dentist I don't have thousands of dollars. Thanks.
There is not a dental clinic near near me. No dentist will work with me on a payment plan- I've looked for years.

I want to know what damages the teeth the most out of Coke, Coffee, and Tea. I also want to know what damages it does.

I think it might be Coke since coke is very sweet and contains acid which melts and weakens our enamel. (i'm not sure if it causes dis-colouration!)

This is for a Science Fair so please answer asap.Thanks.

I got a root canal on Friday and am scheduled to have the cap put on Tuesday. The procedure was painless and I actually went to sleep. But what is it like to have the cap put on? Is there pain? What about after the cap?

my gums have been kind of stinging when i brush my teeth and today they were really hurting. So I looked at them and up at the top my gums are really red and the same with the bottom gums, but right above the tooth my gums look pretty normal. They didn't really bother me that much until today. Should I go to the dentist? I'm really scared of the dentist but i will go if I have to. Also, if it is gingivitis, how will he treat it? thank you to anyone who knows.

I have spaced-out teeth, and I've been weighing my options lately, as of how to get this fixed. I am 16 years old, and I'd hate to have to resort to braces. I've seen the commercials for Invisalign so many times, and now that I think of it, it would be a great alternative to traditional metal braces.

Has anyone ever had Invisalign? If so, were the results favorable?
Also, how much did the product cost? My insurance will not cover them (as they are for vanity/cosmetic purposes only), so I'm hoping they are not priced TOO over the top.

If you have any other information regarding this, please do share.

Is it true that the longer your baby teeth stay in, the healthier they are ??

Because if so my teeth are pretty healthy since I'm like 14 1/2 & I still have 3 left to looose [none are lose either ha].

I was also really late getting all my molars [6 yr. molars at age 8-9 for example] though so I juss wondered if the healthy thing is just a myth. I haven't ever had a cavity though -- haha.

I'm wondering if anyone got a mold of their teeth and gels from their dentist to whiten their teeth. I'm curious how well it worked (I'm looking to achieve movie star white teeth) and how long the results lasted. I'm also wondering how easy/difficult the trays are to use, and the length of time you had them in each day.

Finally, what specific gel did you use? Nite White? Bravo? And what strength - 16%, 22%, etc.?

*Please respond only if you've had professional whitening done, not over-the-counter agents, like Crest Whitestrips.*

Do you really need to love science to become a dentist ??? Question Details: I’m from Ireland. And next year is going to be my last year in school. I was thinking of going to study psychology or (dentistry if I get the grades I want) and I was thinking of going to the University of Manchester in the uk to do a 6 years course that does include a special year for students who do not have the science requirements to get into the course (did not do science at school) But you would have to do science subjects in your first year (in university). But at school the cover ever thing which is not to do with dentistry so if I do this course will it be the same as they do in school or will it just cover the parts which the need the most etc . I really need help with this. And I want good answers no fabricated (false) answers and I mean it. And I do like some parts of science (the parts which has a little bit of dentistry in it eg teeth etc ) Please
