Is it true that the longer your baby teeth stay in, the healthier they are ??

Because if so my teeth are pretty healthy since I'm like 14 1/2 & I still have 3 left to looose [none are lose either ha].

I was also really late getting all my molars [6 yr. molars at age 8-9 for example] though so I juss wondered if the healthy thing is just a myth. I haven't ever had a cavity though -- haha.

Some people live all their lives with one or more baby teeth. Just keep em clean in case your one of them! Years ago I worked for a dentist who had one baby tooth....no kidding. So you never know. Maybe they are stronger because they aren't as old as they should be. Don't worry, they will come in when they are ready.

One of my canines was impacted, came out the side inside my mouth. The baby tooth is still there and I'm in my 40s. My dentist said its ok, and I shouldn't worry about it.

ABBY,
THERE ARE CASES WHERE SOME KIDS DON'T EVER GET THEIR ADULT TEETH. THE IMPORTANT THING TO DO IS TO MAINTAIN THE PRIMARY TEETH IN GOOD SHAPE, AND TO SEE YOUR DENTIST REGULARLY.
