many things crowns, veneers, or cap and then they can also do a fill-in or build up depending on how bad the chip is. and the chip can be from that ,you need to see a dentist if its a small chip it would be considered cosmetic hitting your teeth badly can cause nerve damage in which case it will change color and could possibly need root canal dentist will be able to answer all you questions

A chipped tooth can be covered with a veneer at the dentist office. You need to go in and see your dentist to see if recommends doing anything about it. No I don't think the chipped tooth was because of the accident because it would have chipped then if it was going to chip.

Hey!
no I don't think you should worry...it happened to my friend, she chipped her tooth from hard candy, then took her chipped tooth and went to the doctor to get it fixed up. And now her teeth look completley normal, nothing is wrong with them. I'd just go to the doctor with the chipped tooth if I were you. But don't worry.

if u had got ur teeth slammed in car accident and ur tooth got chipped off as a dentist i reccomend u to get the root canal treatment done and go for a ceramic crown/cap after treatment.. coz when u have such direct blow to the tooth its certain that the tooth will become nonvital due to inflammation and necrosis of pulp tissue leading to discoloration and pus formation. u may nt have these symptoms nw but later sometime it is going to b dead so its better to get it treated b4 facing all problems..and treatment is painless nothing to worry..

if it is a small chip they might be able to smooth it out, if it is a bit larger probably a small filling, doesn't sound serious just cosmetic, they may take x-ray tell them about the car accident.

Sure that's a quick fix for most dentists today - but see a cosmetic dentist for best results O.K.

JL,
DEPENDING ON THE SIZE OF THIS CHIP THE DENTIST MAY DECIDE TO RESTORE IT WITH A WHITE FILLING OR JUST POLISH THAT ROUGH PORTION.
