I don't eat anything the dentist told me not to and some how at least one of my brakets always come off before I have to go for my checkups. Can brushing make them loose?

yes! I would use gentle circular motions rather than a scrub action which i think you might be doing.

Hi Jill .. My son had the same problem. He always broke one before the next visit sometimes we had to go before as it was hurting too much to wait. When we finally saw the dentist.. (public one at the hospital) (so there was a new one each time) He called in the head guy .. He said that they had not been put on right or with the right strength of wire. So he took them off and rewired them. My son had no more problems after that :) Hope that you get some help soon. Take care :)

I found that it was the adhesive the orthodontist was using on my brackets. She had had other patients who were having the same problem and she determined that it just wasn't the right adhesive for some people's teeth. I am now switched to a new adhesive with a better ceramic bracket and I haven't had any come loose. I was going to the ortho each month with as many as four or five broken off...

Just make sure to be careful using those floss threaders. You can lose the ties with those. I also recommend a waterpik. It's great for getting out the gunk in your teeth that you can't get with the toothbrush...

Yes! u should use a very soft brush look for the lables tht say soft one them! And dont eat anything hard & sticky & chewy! also stay away from gum and chips and break them!!! And when they hert dont eat anything but soft food! Also when they break u need to go to the dentist right away cuz it is goin 2 harm ur teeth if u dont tell ur dentist the second tht it happends! Also anything crunchy can break it so dont eat tht! ok tht should help u!!
