I had 2 top teeth pulled about 10 yrs. ago and got extremely painful dry socket, so much so that i still remember how bad it was, but i had a bottom tooth pulled last year and didn't get dry socket at all. I'm probably going to have to have another tooth pulled next week and it's on the top, so now i'm worried about getting dry socket. i know how to prevent it, i just wondered if it's more likely to happen to the top or bottom teeth or if that has nothing to do with it. Thanks... : )

cheers,
Shauna!

the dry socket may occur anywhere.....the dry socket occurs if there is a remenints or due to infection which affect the healing process......so u must take care...by listing to the dentist instructions and ur antibiotics
