Hi Hotgirl...

Emerging adult teeth with a yellow or off-white colour can be cause by (1) the child taking tetracycline antibiotics when she was younger which can affect the colour of the developing teeth

or (2)if the childs mother had to take tetracycline antibiotics during her pregnancy.

Its also genetic what shade the teeth are.

Visit dentist for advice,he or she can help if they get to examine the teeth.

Good luck
Paul

Permanent teeth often look more yellow than primary teeth and this is normal. But it could also be caused by medicine the child took, by an accident that hurt a primary tooth, or by too much fluoride. Ask your dentist about this when you go for a check-up.

When I was young the same thing happened to me. I was quite ill at the time and was being given drugs to help me. I've been told that this was the reason. Its cost me quite a lot on dental fees to correct it. I've been told that any kind of drug given to children at this age can have this effect. I don't know if its true, or it applies in this case, but I thought I'd mention it as a possible reason.

She needs to get to the dentist. The discoloration could be from some medication she took once.
The dentist can help.

What the heck are milk teeth?

They should take her to a dentist, they should have been taking her to a dentist for a long time now. Why don't they do that instead of relying on her aunt to find out on Yahoo Answers??
