Okay, my ortho told me that if my spacer comes out to take a piece of floss and floss the one that came out. If it goes thru without getting stuck or hard to get in, to not come back to have another one put in, but if it does get stuck or is hard to floss to go back and get a new one put in. But say that one did come out, and you're only wearing it for 6 days, and it comes out like on the 2nd or 3rd day and you floss and it doesnt get stuck or anything, and u dont go back to get a new one, wont the tooth move back to its original place by the time u go back to the ortho? i was just wodering. mine didnt come out tho.

I think it would. Teeth move very fast. I noticed that on the day after day that I got my braces on, my teeth already moved. Also, when I didn't wear rubber bands for a day or two, I could already notice a change. So I think it would be the same with spacers.

If the spacer is flossed out it needs to be replaced. If you wait several days, it will slow down your treatment, so it is best to replace it yourself.
My ortho sent me home with extra spacers to insert myself if necessary. It did become necessary because one of the spacers bubbled above my molar surface and it got damaged from chewing.
The replacement was fairly easy to insert. I had floss threaded through on each side, pulled on the floss to stretch (and thin) the spacer, and position it between the teeth.
If your spacer is undamaged you can reinsert it using the same procedure.

If you couldn't reinsert a lost spacer, and you waited until your next appointment:
1. Your ortho would put in another at that time.
2. Your bracket installation appointment would have to be re-booked to a later date.
