If he excels at teaching and physics, then by all means go for it. But if he has ambition, caring compassion and enjoys helping people, then I would say Dentistry or something in the medical field. Not everyone can be a Dentist though. It's a very different job working in peoples mouths. Not everybody takes care of their teeth, so you see some real horror patients with unbelievable teeth, or what used to be their teeth. Being a Dentist you can't pick and choose your patients. It also requires dexterity and artistic talent. You have to be able to work with both hands looking through a mirror most of the time. Then their is the business skills, people skills to add on top. It's more than just a choice, you have to have a desire to do this job. So I wouldn't push someone to do it unless they are seriously interested. It's not the glamorous job that some think it is, sure there is a lot of money to be made but it's also very tedious hard work. This job also holds the highest suicide rate. I would really let your son make this decision based on where his interest lay. Whichever way he goes, I wish him good luck!

Well, What a nice question? Inorder to choose, you should classify the merits and the demerits of both, I am a dental Student, and truthfully i enjoy both the education and the fame of being a doctor yet the income/Salary obtained by a dentist is much much more than a teacher i guess, and yet it is a very intresting field, if i where in your shoes i would have chosen Dentistry/being a dentist....

Wish you best of Luck to you and your son... :-)

Erm - that's his choice isn't it?

What's he interested in? Being a Dentist will earn him a bit of cash, but potentially not so rewarding.
