do they hurt?? how bad?? cause im might be getting them this month...what foods cant i eat?

it hurts in the beginning a lot!
u can stick to soft foods...
my friend said that it hurt so much that she cried...
now i am scared to get em... :-(

Braces don't hurt near as much today as back when I was a kid. Back then they had to wrap that metal strip around each tooth, OUCH. Today, they glue the brackets to the teeth. Remember, you are moving teeth around in the jaw bone, and that's going to be uncomfortable. Tylenol and ibuprofen got my daughter through her braces and she now has a beautiful smile.

i have braces... i eat whatever the hell i want =)
just dont bite down on anything hard like lollipops, hard candy, stuff like that.
they only hurt at first, when your teeth are moving, and when you get them tightened.
