why do my gums bleed slightly when im brushing my teeth?

Why did god put wisdom teeth in our mouth if they are not used at all. He could have saved us the trouble and not make them.

Does anyone know if it is possible to have your false teeth permanantly or semi permanatly fixed, i am sure i read something about it ages ago where they screw the plates to your mouth but not sure. The pastes etc are awful and don't do a good job really. Ay tips on securing false nashers also appreciated. I lost mine in a bike accident two years ago (34 years of age). Thanks everyone

Can someone give me a hand? Im looking for an inexpensive way to whiten my teeth. Im an ex-smoker, and soda freak, so i have dark ugly stains, and my teeth are a brown tint! Its embarassing, and I brush twice a day and floss. Any suggestions besides lying off on the soda (already did that....)?

I have been grinding my teeth now for over 10 years.I have tryied football mouth guards and grind right through them + there uncomfortable to sleep with.My wife squezzes my jaw while im sleeping, hits me,tells me to stop etc.
She is now sleeping in a seperate room.It is very loud apparently,if i try to grind them while im awake its impossible.
I only drink 1 coffee a day & thats in the morn.I have a few beers each day to relax after work in which im on my feet all day.I have mentioned to my Dr about it & also my Dentist.
Have had x-ray to my teeth & spent alot of money on getting teeth all good dentist doesnt need to see me for 6 months.
Is there a drug that can perhaps put you into a sleep where the stresses in your life can be reduced to stop the grinding but still wake you up at 5am for work the next day.
I dont believe that a mouth gaurd of any sort is the final sollution because i dont want to wear 1 of them for the rest of my life.
Any suggestions please let me no. Cheers

i have to have a filling 2moz,
and the last 3 times i went to the dentist i have had a panic attack and could not go though with it.
but the last time i went i did manage to get though it but i was shakying and feeling very sick all the way though.

I know this might seem silly to some of you, but i just get very scared, can you give me any tips or help so i can overcome this?

If my root canal needs to be redone does anyone know how many visits to the dentist will this take? When I had it done initially i had temp filling then went back to have the rest done. Will it be the same procedure?

I recently use crest whitestrips premium plus...and it seriously feels like my teeth are about to fall out of my head. They hurt SO bad it's not even funny. I can't even sleep because it hurts. I can't bite down on anything...does anyone know any quick fixes to make this feeling go away....im gonna start yankin' teeth soon!!!!

I had a root canal done about 2 months ago and it has started to hurt again. I went to the dentist and got prescribed antibiotics but they have done nothing. It is sensitive to hot liquids and hurts when i touch it or any air gets on it.

He said to go back again if the antibiotics do not work and he can either do it again or extract it. I am only 21 so do not really want to taken out. Has anyone experienced this before and if so what is best to do?

it s been nearly 2 weeks after my extraction. so today i decided to use mouthwash. but i don't gargle too hard. after that i ate nugget. so when i wash my mouth i noticed something white at the hole where my extraction has been done, at first i thought it was my chewed nugget, so i took the food half of it. but then i realized maybe it the medicine that my doctor put into my gum during my extraction. maybe the mouthwash made it out of my gum. please help, is it wrong to use mouthwash after 2 weeks of extraction? is the 'thing' in my mouth is really the nugget or it it the medicine? please help i know this is like a silly question.

i recently went to the denist and found out that one of my two front teeth is dead. I was wondering why it was darker than all the others but had no idea it was dead. It is also slightly more forward. I havent had a root canal and my dentist says I don't need to do anything about it. I hate that it's darker than my other front tooth and want to know if there is anything I can do to whiten it?? I had braces for 7 yrs and used to have a perfect smile. What can I do to fix this?!?!?!

thank you to those who have answered so quickly. if what i am feeling is normal healing, how often can i take the prescribed pain medication safely. If i take it every 3-4 hous as needed is that harmful?

If something more is wrong, such as a fracture due to the post, can that be fixed? and how? At what point do I know if that is a possiblility? a couple days a week?
