Why did god put wisdom teeth in our mouth if they are not used at all. He could have saved us the trouble and not make them.

Initially, wisdom teeth were needed to help grind up food, like tough raw meat, for chewing and swallowing. But over millions of years, man found that these back teeth were no longer really needed since he started eating more tender, soft foods. Also worth noting, is the fact that the human jaw has become increasingly smaller since cave man days and so there is less room for all 32 teeth. Yet, wisdom teeth continue to be present and are the last teeth to erupt within the mouth. When they align properly and gum tissue is healthy, wisdom teeth may not have to be removed. Unfortunately, this does not generally happen. Too, they are so far to the back of the mouth that keeping them clean can be a real problem. The removal of wisdom teeth is necessary when they are prevented from properly erupting within the mouth. They may grow sideways, partially emerge from the gum and even remain trapped beneath the gum and bone. Impacted teeth ( those trapped under the bone or gums ) can take many positions in the bone as they attempt to find a pathway that will allow them to erupt successfully. They need to be extracted, especially, if causing pain.

wha t do you mean 'were'?-teeth are for chewing- d'yer think that in 'times past' they were used for something else?
How do you know they are not used at all- I'll bet you would find it hard to chew on all your otherteeth, but not let any food get on your wizzies....................? They ARE surplus to requirements, but then you could do without any teeth at all-Tescos sells very little that people need to chew.its mostly pap.am I right , or am I right?

they were used to grind and chew, just as all teeth were, but have become obsolete due to modern food and eating standards.
