Like chipping and such.... I was wanting a tongue piercing, but then they said that it could chip/corrode your teeth, and I have beautiful teeth and I don't want to do that if it's going to mess up my teeth. Thanks for reading... and hopefully a knowledgable answer.

I mean, you wouldn't like somebody examining your teeth when they are visibly obviously worse than yours.

I was just wondering if there perhaps an unspoken rule in this sort of occupation or is it simply how well you do your job as a Dentist?

I have had an abscess for about 2 years now according to the dentist...the dentist keeps telling me I need to have a root canal and crown, but I have no pain. Since it doesn't hurt me, I don't want to go through the pain of "fixing" it....but I don't want to regret it later. Do you know if anything can become worse from not treating the abscess? thanks a bunch!

I do mean transparent . I can see the teeth behind the enamel . The two
front ones are getting worse . I was using colgate whitner , but that was a while ago . I stopped using , because it made my teeth look like they had lines on them . They were fine around Christmas , and I didn't notice anything til around the end of this month . I'm asking here , because I know I need to go to the dentist (can't afford) , but I wa hoping someone would know how to stop it from getting worse .

I had my wisdom teeth taken out a month ago, and I haven't had a chance to go to the dentist to get the stitches taken out yet (it's not the type that dissolves) because he is so far away.

I know, of course, it is not good to have it left there, but what type of health complications can it cause if I just leave them there? I'll go to have them taken out eventually, but I was wondering if there was any potential problems I needed to be aware of.

Also, any tips on how I can take them out myself? I caught one end of it with a tweezer but it hurt when I tugged at it a little bit..

Thank you!

He needs to go badly, I don't even like to kiss him anymore. I keep asking him and he says yes he needs to go but doesn't make an appointment. He won't let me make one for him.

It just seems much more messy this way. I wonder why this is the universal color.

For those of you who know about teeth--tooth #4 (a molar) needs a root canal and crown (Approx. $700). The tooth is quickly crumbling away, but I do have an appointment for this coming Wednesday (31st) to have this taken care of. My question is--would this be the best option for me, or would it make more sense to say f*ck it, have the tooth pulled, and have an implant put in? (The type where they put the titanium screw in your jaw bone, then the impmlant tooth screws into it.) I have had horrible teeth since the birth of my first child nearly three years ago--one cavity after another, and I found out at my last trip to the dentist that I need several fillings, and a total of *4* crowns. What would be my best option? I"m a healthy 31 year old woman who wouldn't need bone grafting or anything of that nature. What would you do?

was it the magazines, the smell, the quiet scream in the background, the big bush you could hide from, the evil eye from the receptionist? the really comfy beanbag?

I have my spacers and I'm getting braces in 6 days. I just want to know what they will be doing when they are putting them on so there are no surprises.

If you need to know, I'm getting top and bottom at the same time.

My poor little girl fell on our ceramic tile floor and brooke one of her teeth. It's on the top, right next to her front teeth. The break goes about halfway up or a little higher on one side of her tooth. Should I call a dentist tonight? Is there anything they will be able to do for it?

I have cavities on my front teeth which causes a gap between them. Would veneers work to fix that? I really want veneers instead of fillings.
