is there any surgery for this? if so will i be able to talk properly afterwards? will i need anything to go on my teeth/jaw, or can i walk out of hospital with just my own body. no plates, braces etc.

As per the situation you explain, an orthognathic (jaw) surgery seems a certainty. You have not mentioned how straight your teeth are. If not, braces are equally a certainty, which may be before or after the surgery or even both before and after. It will depend on what the recommendations of your orthodontist are. The jaw surgery is expensive, safe, and not equally painful for all. But you will have metal in the jaw and ease of eating will be a problem for a month or so. Still it is worth and you will be able to talk properly.

u might need braces & jaw surgery. go to ur orthodontist for a free consultation. they can recommend better than people on here because they can actually see u.
