I used to have Ameriplan USA and I may go back to that. It's about $20 per month and offers discounts on dental, vision, and pharmacy. Are there other plans that are a better deal or lower price?

I've had some people say that it's fun and there's a lot of variety. But then I've had someone else say that it's just cleaning teeth all day. I know either way that they make plenty of money--but money isn't my main objective.

Anyone out there with real experience in this field?

Can dentists change colors of fillings? Do they make fillings to be the color of teeth? Or will I end up with a patch of bright white on my front tooth?

Ok in a week, I have to get a baby tooth and a grown up tooth pulled and the next week, same thing. The week after that, I have to get braces. Talk about a bad month! I am terrified of the dentist and I can barely sleep knowing that soon I will be sitting in the dentists chair have needles poked into my mouth. I am really scared because I have had teeth pulled when I was little and I remember the novacaine hurting a lot. Please help me, what should I do???

I've heard a lot of people say to brush your teeth with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to whiten teeth.

If you do do that daily, do you still have to brush your teeth with regular paste too? And which one should you do first? The baking soda & hydro peroxide or toothpaste?

I went to the dentist six months ago and was told that everything looked absolutely perfect. I brush two times a day and don't really floss regularly. Last month, I went back to the same office (different dentist) and was told that I had about twenty cavities. They said that every single one of them were in between my teeth and due to the fact that I don't floss as often as I should. Is this possible for me to develop so many cavities so quickly or should I get a second opinion?

My dentist wants me to spend thousands of dollars on six crowns and one implant. He wants me to save money to do one per year and won't listen to my excuses that I can't save that much money that fast. Since they are considered cosmetic procedures, my dental insurance doesn't cover any of it. He keeps "bugging" me about it every six months I get my teeth cleaned.

i've heard so many weird remedies on curing a toothache, even root canal pain. Like squeezing the skin in between your thumb and pointer finger for 30 secs. Or taping a piece of garlic to your arm. What other weird remedies have you guys heard, that actually workds? Oh yea, the squeezing the skin one worked for me. ;)

My boyfriend is a student dentist and found out recently that I haven't seen a dentist in about 8 years. He found out because I was eating a chocolate and had a sudden severe pain in one of my teeth and then he asked when I'd last been to the dentist. He wanted to examine my teeth but I wouldn't let him because I'm too embarrassed. I'm sure my teeth must be in a pretty bad state by now, I mean I brush regularly, but I don't floss and I do eat quite a lot of chocolate and sweets if I'm honest.

Anyway, I was just wondering, I know you can't really tell without seeing my teeth, but how much work am I likely to need done after 8 years of not seeing a dentist? I don't have any really bad toothaches, except that one tooth that hurt when I was eating chocolate, most of my teeth are generally quite sensitive to cold things as well - is that bad? I use sensodyne toothpaste but it doesn't seem to help.

I'm really freaking out here!!! HELP!!!
