I'm considering my options. I've researched dentures and got all the information I need to know...except the "really important" stuff...Will my husband be able to tell I am wearing dentures? Also, will my *ahem* "love life" be affected? I'm 36 and concerned what my 31 year old husband is going to think of me. I know I will LOOK better, but I'm worried about my relationship with my hubby. any advice from people who have gone what I am going through.

Please no, hillbilly comments. I'm from Chicago. I'm just a victim of heredity

I am having problems with my new dentist. It seems everybody's out to make a buck nowadays. I need a filling supposedly, I don't wanna mess with him anymore cause he's trying to get me to do all this extra stuff I'm not sure I need. Can i wait a month and be ok? Also, will it help if I brush immediately every time I eat?

I moved here about three years ago and had to find a new dentist. I have never had a lot of trouble with my teeth until now. I have always gone to the dentist regularly. When I started going to him, he told me that I needed 3 root canals and crowns. I trusted him and let him do it. I have been told by others, since then, he should have sent me somewhere else to have that kind of work done. All three teeth that he worked on have gotten infected, one broke off at the gumline. He said the root canals "didn't take" - "broke up". I am beginning to wonder if I really needed that kind of work done anyway. My question is, do you think I probably just had a bad dentist? OR (just another thought I had, it's far fetched but......) Is there a chance that my body is rejecting whatever the material is that they used to do the work? Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? I am so embarrassed.

Why do teeth become sensitive? Does that mean you are having a problem?

I Want to try something different from usual mouthwash, something hopefully more natural, hopefully cheap and maybe something I can find in the home.

Okay, my eleven year old cousin has problems with flossing. She hates it, but I want to help her. Whenever she tries to floss, she says that she has to force down the floss and it always hurts or bleeds when she does that. And the floss cuts into her gums. Does anyone have any tips on how to make flossing hurt less or how to stop the bleeding?

hi had a root canal 3 months ago after a blow to the tooth, the pain is not as bad as it orginally was but i still have some senstivity in the tooth when i tap on it or rub on it.

the tooth i had root canaled is the front tooth and my dentist did not crown it, i just have it filled.

will the 'slight' pain go once i have a crown put over it?

i do have a few microfractures on the surface of the tooth due to the blow, so maybe thats why its still sensitive because it needs crowning?

a family member said she had a root canal and it took 1 year for the pain to FULLY go, would appricate some advice from people on here though, thanks.

I'm having trouble with the super floss. My teeth are so tight I can't get the floss in between my teeth and on the rare occasion that I do I have to yank it out and it wrenches at the wire. Also I can't eat solid food. Is this normal?

Both my canines have shifted to the front and sides of my mouth. These shifts created four gaps on both sides of both my canines. These gaps are a couple millimeters wide. I know that I would only need minor corrections because I have been accepted to wear invisalign (Which is for only minor corrections). Is it possible that I can just use a retainer to straighten my smile? Has anyone used only a retainer to straighten their teeth?

I just got spacers, and I have had them for only 1 1/2 days; they don't really hurt, its just that one of the spacer elastics is irritating my gums, only one, I don't know what to do. It is like rubbing away my gum and making it so sensitive, only one spot.

Is there anything that anyone knows to make it stop, BTW... I have to have in my spacers for 6 more days, i've only lasted like a day, my gum is really annoyin me, plz help
