I just got spacers, and I have had them for only 1 1/2 days; they don't really hurt, its just that one of the spacer elastics is irritating my gums, only one, I don't know what to do. It is like rubbing away my gum and making it so sensitive, only one spot.

Is there anything that anyone knows to make it stop, BTW... I have to have in my spacers for 6 more days, i've only lasted like a day, my gum is really annoyin me, plz help

Spacers are there to create space. You need them to be there so that the orthodontist can put bands around your back teeth when he/she puts your braces on. It is OK that they are irritating your gums. It will go away when they take them off. Take some ibuprofen (not Tylenol... it doesn't have any anti-inflammatory properties) over the next week, and you will be fine. Best of luck with the braces!
