Why do teeth become sensitive? Does that mean you are having a problem?

Usually, cavities and fractured teeth can cause sensitivity. However, if you don't have a problem with either then it can be the fact that your tooth enamel is worn or that you have an exposed root. There are certain toothpates (ie: sensodyne) to help with sensitive teeth or you can go to your dentist and have him/her treat you with fluoride gel to strengthen your tooth enamel. Hope that helped!
