It depends on how you arrange this with your dentist. It would be common to say that you had to pay at least half up front so that some costs are met (guaranteed) and then divide the rest up according to how many months the treatment will take.

I am assuming (perhaps incorrectly) that you are talking about using "retainers" to do some minor tooth movements, or there wouldn't likely be a series of monthly visits to check on things.

Those "check" visits will probably include some quick and seemingly minor adjustments, if you are actually having some tooth movement done. We call them "check visits," even though there will be a little wire bending involved, because they only take a couple of minutes.

hello!
it all depends on the orthodonist. my orthodonist gives payment books and the start off your braces, and each month you come in your pay, your monthly payment, until you finish them all up. You may go to appointments and not have to pay anything because your payment is all finished. So Im guessing if you have finished paying for the braces you won't have to pay every month you go in and get them checked! Hope this helped. oh and for your second question, i am not really sure how much because i didn't pay the bill my parents did, but my friends mom is a orthodonist and she says it usually costs between 100-200 a month. Depending all on your mouth and your braces!

Good Luck!
