My boyfriend says he never had wisdom teeth. Never had them removed. I thought that they are the 3rd set of molars that come in somewhere in your teens or later. But most get impacted and have to be removed. But that we all have them. Can someone clarify it for me

What helps get rid of cold sores really fast? I have this cold sore on my lip on the inside of my mouth. I get them quite often. Usually I just leave it alone and it goes away on its own, but I really need something to put on it to get rid of it. Please help me. I very much appreciate your help. My question is what could I put on it that would help it go away very fast?

Also, what causes cold sores to develop?

I have two cracked teeth that are in bad condition. I just came from my dentist who x-rayed the teeth and came up with two solutions. This is what has to be done:
One tooth requires a root canal, but it can be saved
The other tooth has broken beneath the gum and will be extracted completely.

After these two procedures, a bridge will be built between the missing teeth, and a crown made for each.

The estimated cost of these procedures is $5,125.00. My insurance will only cover $1,000.00, which will leave me with a bill of $4,125.00. I have not had dental work done in about 25 years, and so I do not know what the going rates are for this kind of work. Can someone tell me if this is a reasonable cost for these procedures? Thank you.

My daughter is about to lose her first tooth. Other than the whole tooth fairy thing, what do I do with the tooth after I take it from her pillow? Keep it? Throw it away?

Okay, around 4 hours ago I got 3 cavities filled near my front teeth. I ended up not being able to go back to school due to possible drool factor.

My upper lip isn't as numb as it used to be. But the inside of the lip is extremely dry and I am still afraid of drinking fluids or anything. I am having trouble closing my mouth, I mean I can very easily do it, but it is like there is a spring and I am most comfortable with my mouth open. The dentist decided to file the filling with some metal thing, it got near my gums and each of the cavities (all the cavities were between teeth), and blood lines the cracks. My drool (sorry for the term) covers the teeth, so I can't use a q-tip to wipe it up.

I have a toothache in the biggest cavity (a 9), whhy??

My lip is still numb 4 hours later, is this normal? I can smile, but not laugh, and smiling feels awkward.

My husband had a root canal done, something went wrong and the dentist isn't standing behind it. NOW, he needs to pay an Oral Surgeon to correct it. Prior to this, they got paid from the insurance already, we were just starting to pay the rest off monthly. Now, we want to see what our rights are! Obviously, he's not returning to that dentist.

My brother may have a gluten allergy and he is considering braces. We read that gluten is used in adhesives, so I was wondering if gluten is in the glue that dentists use.
