My brother may have a gluten allergy and he is considering braces. We read that gluten is used in adhesives, so I was wondering if gluten is in the glue that dentists use.

Orthodontic brackets are bonded to teeth with resin cements. No gluten, to my knowledge.

My daughter has Celiac Disease and has braces - no, there is no gluten in braces adhesive. It's always good to ask questions, though - gluten can hide in things you'd never suspect!
