I got it cleaned and filled about a month ago. It didn't hurt before but after I got it done, I caught TMJ and then it's better now but then over the weekend, it broke. I'm not in pain b/c it's more like chipped big time. Should I go back to the Dentist or should I wait until It hurts?

I had a sinus infection & a sensitive tooth. My dentist took an X-ray of the tooth & (big surprise) said he wanted to do a root canal because it looked like the root was starting to die. He acted like I was an idiot because I thought it could be from the sinus infection... but since I got rid of the sinu infection, my tooth hasn't bothered me again. It's been over a month now. Was I right?

I'm just getting mine in, and I don't have as many teeth as most people do (I had several pulled to make room for growing teeth that were running into each other), so if I can keep mine I'd like to, I'm hoping it'll close the gaps between most of my teeth by taking up some extra space. But anyway, my new wisdom tooth is rubbing a sore into the inside of my cheek, and I was wondering if that's a reason to get it pulled? Why do most people do it? How do I know if it's really my wisdom tooth? I'm just guessing it is.

When I bite this puss filled bump, a clear puss comes out, looks like water and the sore goes down. It doesn't hurt it just bothers me because I know it's there. I can feel it when I talk. It just looks like there is a small bump (a little bit smaller then the top of a pencil eraser). It is filled with a clear fluid. It keeps coming back. Now its starting to freak me out. I don't smoke, drink and I know it's not a STD, any info, please help me. Thanks

My six-year old son has THREE loose teeth and wants to know if it's better to wiggle them or to leave them be. I've tried researching this online, and can find no reliable answer. Does anyone know for sure which is the better approach?

Thanks!

I was finally diagnosed with TMJ after ten or so years of jaw trouble. I am really mad because I lost my bite guard which is to expensive to replace right now. I used to get block shots up until recently because that is to expensive too. I need help because I bite my cheeks and tounge severely now and I am in constant pain. I can't talk, eat, yawn, or cough without awful pain. I am at my wits end. The dentist said my wisdom teeth are not to blame and are fully developed and not to bother taking them out but they are not exposed. Should I consider removing them from the bad side of my jaw? Painkillers help but after they wear off it is worse. Soft foods just don't cut it for me anymore. Has anyone had good results from surgery? blah. blah..

very concerned about the holes im seeing in my teeth. i've got at the very least 4 cavities that i can see with my eye that have me really worried. I'll start with the worst:
my 2nd molar on the upper right has a big cavitiy on the side touching my cheek

next my lower left canine has a cavity on the front just above the gumline

then my 1st molar on the upper left has a pretty big cavity on the side facing the tooth in front of it

Then recently i've noticed another one forming on the side of my upper incisor on the upper left. it is especially hard to keep clean because it's on the side and it's getting deeper.

Also i have recently found out that i was prescribed 4 times the legal limit of adderall xr, and i had been taking 120mg for the last 5 years(adderall xr is basically 4 different types of meth when you get down to it), so idk if that might have weakened my teeth. I've already spent a fortune on my teeth, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a bunch!

I have a wisdom tooth that needs pulled. I can't get into the dentist for another 2 days. I have been unable to sleep for the last 3 nights because when I lay down, every tooth top and bottom from the front tooth back really hurts, including my jaw. I have been taking LOTS of excedrin, and using massive amounts of origel. Only seems to help for maybe an hour. I am in need of relief! (the tooth is broken)

I think my teeth are kinda big, but I would rather have my teeth smaller than bigger. I cant go to the dentist, because they would have to sceual an appointment, and I really can't wait for the dentist to tell me. I dont care if it takes me a month to make my teeth smaller, I just want smaller teeth.

2 days before thanksgiving i got my wisdom teeth taken out. that is like a month and a half back. and. well. the left side of my tounge is still numb. i have no taste on that side. i know b/c i put a dime sized amount of red pepper on that side of my tounge and didnt even feel it. but when i bite that side of my tounge (which happes often now b/c i cant feel it) it hurts like waaay back in the back of my mouth and a little bit donw in my throat. ive been thinking that maybe they severed a nerve but maybe not the whole thing cause i can feel it back there after i bite it and it hurts realllly bad. ummm i know that your taste buds change every 5 years and i was wondering if its going to be 5 years untill i get all of my taste back.

Could i sue the oral surgan for mal-practice?
