My mother says it's bad. If it's bad for you why would they put it on the market?

Listerine in fact is good for you, as long as you are gargling with it and not drinking it.It is what Dentist recommends, it helps eliminate plaque build up, and kills germs leaving your breath fresh.

My dental hygenist says that Listerine is the best of all the mouth wash producets and we should rinse with it daily!

Mouthwashes that kill germs aren't bad for you. Using it once or twice a day is fine. However if you use it more often, your mouth might dry out a bit.

Listerine does contain alcohol... maybe this is your mom's concern?

That is an old wives tale, but if you are worried about it, then buy some Crest Pro-Health. It is alcohol-free. :)

It's acctually great for your oral hygiene. However, if it is swallowed it tears apart your stomach. (Not literally).
