i have braces with wires for a little over a year now and my gums are really swollen..when i brush they bleed...i went to my ortho and she told me to brush around and under the wires but it just dont seem to work...i really need help and fast...can anyone tell me the best way to make my gums go down and what is the fastest way...i need them to go down in about a month...please help me...

try swishing your mouth several times a day with either Listerine mouth wash or the Crest pro active mouthwash.
The Crest brand doesn't burn like listerine does but they both will work on the swelling.

i had braces in for 2 years and my gums and the inside of my cheeks were badly cut and swollen too. forget all the bottled stuff out of shops, the best thing to reduce swelling in the gums, trust me is plain, salt and water.
mix salt with warm water, (although not warm enough to scald you) take a mouthful and just gargle it around and hold it in the mouth or the area of the swollen gum for a few minutes. an then repeat. it works trust me, even though it isnt a nice taste!

You can try Hydrogen Peroxide follow the instructions on the bottle for oral use the cap to measure. I'm pretty sure this will help. Good Luck!

Go to a health food store and buy a mouth rinse containing marigold (same as the flower). It really helps.

sensodine is a toothpaste that has a numbing sollution in it that will immediatly help the swelling.
